Closed in November 2017, the pub looked destined for permanant closure but in 2018 a new Facebook page started to document major changes and a clear indication that the pub would reopen. Totally refurbished both in and out with a new 'barn' extension for accomodation, the pub reopened in June 2019. Part 17C coaching inn with original mounting stone on site.
